UPDATE:
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 64-year-old woman as Rebecca Bass.
The investigation is still ongoing and no other information is being released by authorities.

CASS COUNTY, N.D. – A 64-year-old woman died in a house fire south of Horace on Wednesday, December 10.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said first responders and law enforcement responded around 7:00 PM to an unspecified address.
Authorities say while returning home, the homeowner found the house filled with smoke.
The Sheriff’s Office said fire crews were able to contain the flames and most of the damage happened inside the home.
Authorities say they aren’t releasing the dead woman’s name until family is notified and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
