Fargo Police ask public to avoid 1500 block of Broadway North

Fargo Public Schools spokeswoman AnnMarie Campbell tells Flag Family News that district officials were in touch with Fargo Police as this incident happened a block east of Ben Franklin Middle School.

“There was/is no threat to our school so our operations continued as normal,” Campbell told us earlier this evening.

ORIGINAL STORY:

FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Police are asking the police to avoid an area of Broadway North due to an incident.

Neighborhood Services Lieutenant Shane Aberle, in a statement, said officers are responding to an ongoing incident in the area of the 1500 block of Broadway North, which is one block east of Ben Franklin Middle School and Holy Spirit School.

They’re asking the public to avoid the area.

Our reporter on scene heard an officer on a megaphone calling for a person to come out with their hands up, and indicated the individual is under arrest at 1506 Broadway North.

Police officers have been seen with their guns out.

The intersection of 15th Avenue North and Broadway is block by officers.
