(Eagan, MN) — Jonathan Greenard’s 2025 season is coming to an early end.
The Vikings announced on Monday afternoon that the edge rusher will miss the rest of the year with a shoulder injury. Greenard missed a pair of games after hurting the shoulder in Week 10, and he’s been used as a rotational pass rusher in the last three weeks.
In a press conference with local media head coach, Kevin O’Connell said, “He aggravated his shoulder, we think it’s best to go ahead and get that thing fixed”. O’Connell continued, “He’ll have surgery in the near future and start the process of rehab”.

The 2024 Pro Bowler had just three sacks in 12 games this season. The Greenard-less Vikings visit the New York Giants on Sunday.
