ST PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota’s Superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says one new state program, the State’s Paid Leave Program, has taken a forward approach to prevention of fraud.
“They put in place a number of different pieces to make sure that fraud is very difficult in that program,” BCA Superintendent Drew Evans said.
He said leaders within the Department of Employment and Economic Development then shared their processes with the BCA’s Financial Crimes and Fraud Section to ensure no gaps were found in fraud prevention.
Evans said the process went well.
