BARNES COUNTY, N.D. – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit-and-run on Interstate 94 in Barnes County.
It happened eight miles west of Valley City.
Authorities say dispatch received multiple calls of someone walking on the interstate on Saturday, December 20. Troopers talked with the man and he turned down assistance.
The next day around 2:30 PM, someone saw a body in the ditch and called 911. The Highway Patrol found a 27-year-old man’s body and troopers and pieces of a vehicle consistent with a hit-and-run.
Authorities ask for your help in finding a vehicle with a large portion of its bug deflector that’s damaged. There also may be damage to the vehicle’s front and passenger side.
