FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A man arrested in connection to a deadly Fargo shooting on December 4, 2024 has changed his plea.

Patrick Martin pleaded guilty to one count of murder, and conspiracy to commit robbery. A second murder charge was dismissed.

Steven Burrell was arrested in connection to the shooting on December 5, 2024.

The shooting happened at the Summers at Osgood Apartments in the 4500 block of 47th Street South.

According to court documents, Martin, Burrell and a third man went to the victim’s apartment to rob him.

Martin told investigators Burrell was previously robbed by victim, Rahsaan Wilson.

Court documents say Burrell previously made plans with Martin to rob Wilson, and said they expected to get more than $10,000 from him.

Martin says they called Wilson and met him outside the apartment complex. He said they followed him into the apartment building, and a fight broke out between Wilson and Burrell.

Investigators say they believed Burrell and Martin each fired a shot toward Wilson, and he died the next day.
