FERGUS FALLS, MINN. – Minnesota State Senator Jordan Rasmusson has announced his intent to seek reelection.
“The past year has made one thing clear: leadership isn’t measured by slogans or theatrics – it’s measured by results,” said Rasmusson. “Our communities deserve proven conservative leadership that has stood up to the Walz agenda and won.”
He represents District 9 in the Minnesota State Senate – which covers communities in Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Traverse and Wilkin counties.
While serving as Assistant Leader for the Senate Republican Caucus, Rasmusson has led efforts to expose human services fraud, protect taxpayers, and prioritize the needs of Greater Minnesota. While the Walz administration allowed fraud to run rampant, Rasmusson championed and passed legislation that expanded oversight into fraud, waste, and abuse in state agencies by giving stronger transparency tools to the Office of the Legislative Auditor.
“Every dollar stolen by fraudsters is an insult to Minnesota taxpayers. That is why I pushed for stronger oversight, transparency, and consequences for the administration responsible for the failure,” he said.
Rasmusson was elected to the Senate in 2022. Prior to that, he served in the Minnesota State House.
