The Summit League has named North Dakota State Junior forward Avery Koenen the league’s Peak Performer of the Week for the week of January 12-19.
Koenen led the Bison with a game-high 26 points and 13 rebounds in Saturday’s 76-68 victory over South Dakota State. She added two blocks and two steals in the win.
Additionally, Koenen now has 13 double-doubles on the season. She has now been named the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week for three consecutive weeks and six times this season.
This was NDSU’s first win against the Jackrabbits since 2015. The Bison have now won 14 straight games and improved to 16-2 on the season. The win propelled NDSU to 5-0 in Summit League play for the first time in program history.
The Bison will now hit the road to visit St. Thomas on Wednesday with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
