FARGO, N.D. – The City of Fargo is launching its “Name a Garbage Truck” contest.
Between now and the end of the day on Sunday, February 22, residents can go to www.FargoND.gov/NameAGarbageTruck and submit their entries.
Names must be 20 characters or less – and three words or fewer – and must be original and cannot contain profanity or inappropriate language. Those names that are Fargo or North Dakota-centric will be awarded extra points.
Once all entries are submitted, the Solid Waste Department and Fargo City Commission members will choose 10 finalists based on creativity, originality and overall appeal. The finalists will be posted on The City of Fargo’s social media channels for a public vote. The names with the most tallied votes will be featured on the garbage trucks. Individuals who submit winning names will have the opportunity to appear in a video shared on the City’s social media channels.
