Among Moorhead’s legislative priorities is completion of in-town flood mitigation work

MOORHEAD, MINN. — At Monday night’s Moorhead City Council meeting, Government Affairs Director Lisa Bode said the City has submitted a request for 18-point-5 million dollars in funds for flood work.

“That is what remains necessary to complete our in-town flood mitigation plan that started in 2009,” she said.

The completion of the work was one of several legislative priorities laid out Monday night by Bode.

A second priority is to ask for help in funding ‘major improvements’ that are necessary at the water treatment plant in the amount of 10 million dollars.

The council approved the legislative priorities for the city.
