On Friday, January 30, Minnesota Vikings ownership announced a change in leadership. In a released statement, it stated that the franchise would be parting ways with General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. He has held the position since 2022.
A long list of mishaps from Draft Day trades for players that have underwhelmed to underperforming players signed in free agency may have played a part in the dismissal. The release did not give a specific reason for the change in leadership, but did say that the decision was made after “careful consideration” following the end-of-season organizational meetings.
The statement added that Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Rob Brzezinski, will take over the general manager duties through the 2026 NFL Draft in April.
