A source from North Dakota State confirmed to the Flag Family Media sports department that the Bison football team has accepted an invitation to join the Mountain West Conference. The invitation is football only into the MWC beginning in the 2026 season.
A formal announcement will be made by the University on Monday.
This will officially make NDSU the Mountain West’s 10th football member joining Air Force, Hawaii, New Mexico, Nevada, Northern Illinois, San Jose State, UNLV, UTEP, and Wyoming.
