On Tuesday, the Summit League named North Dakota State Junior, Avery Koenen, the league Peak Performer of the Week. This is the eighth time this season that Koenen has been named the conference’s Peak Performer of the Week. She has now past Oral Roberts’ Kevi Luper in 2009-10 with the most weekly conference honors in a singe season.
In one game last week, she led the Bison past North Dakota 87-51. Koenen recorded a season-high 29 points along with a game-high 13 rebounds. Additionally, she tallied a career-high four blocks. Thus was her 17th double-double of the season, tying her for third in the nation.
NDSU is now 23-2 overall on the season and 12-0 in Summit League play. They are currently riding a 21-game winning streak. The Bison will host St. Thomas on Thursday with the tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
