The Minnesota Wild defeated the Colorado Avalanche 5-2 in their return to the ice from the Olympic break.
Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek scored a pair of goals for Minnesota while Mats Zuccarello added a goal. Boldy and Kirill Kaprizov chipped in two assists apiece. Ryan Hartman, Brock Faber, Quinn Hughes, and Jake Middleton tallied an assist apiece in the game.

Filip Gustavsson saved 44 of the 45 shots he faced between the pipes. Gustafson left the game late in the third period with an illness. Jesper Wallstedt saved one of the two shots he faced in relief.
Minnesota improved to a record of 35-14-10 on the season and are now riding a six game winning streak.
The Wild will continue their road trip on Friday night in Utah to battle the Mammoth. The puck will drop at 8 p.m. with game coverage available on FanDuel Sports Network North.
