ST PAUL, MINN – A bill introduced in the Minnesota State Senate would appropriate $25,000 in the 2027 fiscal year to the Board of Regents at the University of Minnesota for construction of a statue.
Senate File 3777 was authored by Senators Wesenberg, Lucero, Drazkowski, Lieske and Holmstrom. If passed, the statue would be of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and would be placed on the University’s Twin Cities campus.
The bill has been referred to the Senate’s Environment, Climate and Legacy Committee.
