Eriksson Ek’s last second goal propels Wild past Panthers

On Thursday, the Minnesota Wild edged the Panthers in Sunrise, Fla. 3-2. The Wild outshot Florida 49-20 in the win.

Marcus Foligno, Ryan Hartman, and Joel Eriksson Ek each scored a goal in the game. Eriksson Ek scored the game-winner on a rebound at the 19:55 mark of the third period. Yakov Trenin, Brock Faber, and Jeff Petry tallied an assist apiece.

Jesper Wallstedt saved 18 of the 20 shots he faced in net.

Minnesota improved to 41-20-12 on the season with nine games remaining in the regular season. Puck drop will be scheduled for 4 p.m. with game coverage available on NHL Network and FanDuel Sports Network North.
