Twins offense goes quiet in loss to Royals

The Minnesota Twins fell to the Kansas City Royals 3-1 on Monday afternoon.

Matt Wallner hit a solo home run for Minnesota.

Simeon Woods Richardson gave up two runs over five innings of work, eventually being tagged with the loss. Kody Funderburk gave up one run over 1 ⅓ innings while Justin Topa recorded two outs. Taylor Rogers tossed a scoreless inning.

Kris Bubic earned the win for KC after only giving up one run over six innings of work.

Minnesota dropped to 1-3 on the season. The Twins and Royals are off on Tuesday before continuing their series on Wednesday. First pitch on Wednesday is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. with game coverage available at Twins.TV.
