WILLIAMS COUNTY, N.D. – A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper clocked a driver going 116 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone on County Road 5 near Grenora.
The trooper says the driver said they were running late. They were fined $203.
This citation gives the driver 15 points against their license and they’re at risk of it being suspended.
“Speeding is dangerous at any level, but more than doubling the speed limit puts everyone on the road at serious risk. No destination is worth that,” Highway Patrol officials wrote on social media.
