FARGO, N.D. – Great Plains Food Bank celebrates the beginning of construction on a new statewide distribution center on the 3300 block of Westrac Drive in Fargo.
This is part of the organization’s $30.5 million Harvesting Hope Capital Campaign to expand hunger-relief efforts across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota.
The new facility is set to open in Fall 2027.
Great Plains officials say more than 167,000 people in the region are facing food insecurity and the organization saw an 11% increase in need for food assistance in 2025 over 2024.
