JAMESTOWN, N.D. – A man was sent to the hospital and arrested after a motorcycle chase reaching up to 115 miles per hour in Jamestown.
A police officer tried to stop the motorcycle around 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 14 on 1st Ave. S.
Authorities say the driver went onto Interstate 94, got off at the Windsor exit and went north on 67 1/2 Ave. SE where he crashed after going over railroad tracks and turning on a gravel road.
Police say the chase reached up to 97 miles per hour on city streets and 115 miles per hour on I-94.
Thirty-year-old Auston Peterson of Jamestown was arrested on suspicion of DUI, fleeing, carrying a concealed weapon and driving under suspension. He was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center before being booked into jail.
