Measles confirmed in Cass County

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Health and Human Services Department confirms one case of measles in Cass County.

Officials say the person likely got infected in the state, but there are no public exposure locations for measles in North Dakota.

“HHS is continuing its investigation to determine the source of exposure, as the individual reported no recent out-of-state or international travel,” the department said in a press release.

North Dakota has 38 confirmed cases of measles this year. Five people have been hospitalized. There are two more cases than the state had last year.
