Bison Football kicking off 2024 College Football Season on ESPN

North Dakota State football will now open the 2024 season in front of a nationally televised audience. The Bison are visiting the University of Colorado on Thursday, August 29 with the game being aired on ESPN and kickoff slated for 7 p.m. CT.

NDSU will be led by first-year head coach Tim Polasek as they square off with Colorado for the first time in program history. The Bison finished the 2023 campaign with a record of 11-4, while also advancing to the NCAA FCS semifinals for the 12th time in the past 13 seasons.

Deion Sanders (Coach Prime) is entering his second season leading the Buffaloes, coming off of a 4-8 season. Additionally, Colorado is returning to the Big 12 Conference after a 13 year stint in the Pac-12 Conference.

Since NDSU moved to Division I in 2004, the Bison are 35-6 in nationally televised games, including an 8-2 record on ESPN. This will be the fifth time NDSU opens a season on national television and the first time since they defeated Charleston Southern in the 2016 FCS Kickoff.
