(STATEWIDE) – With 100 percent of the precincts reporting statewide in North Dakota, the matchups for statewide races have been decided. Here’s a look at the statewide races that will appear on the November general election ballot:
United States Senate
United States Senator Kevin Cramer, the incumbent, ran unopposed and will represent Republicans in the United States Senate race in November.
Cramer will face Katrina Christiansen, who also ran unopposed in the Democratic primary election.
United States House
Julie Fedorchak, former Public Service Commissioner, beat out four challengers for the Republican nod in the United States House race. Fedorchak finished with 45 percent of the vote, 16 percentage points better than Rick Becker.
Fedorchak will face Trygve Hammer, the Democratic endorsed candidate for United States House. Hammer defeated Roland Riemers by nearly 50 percentage points.
Governor
Kelly Armstrong, who currently serves as North Dakota’s lone Congressman, and his running mate, Michelle Strinden, will represent the Republican Party in November’s election. Armstrong beat out current Lieutenant Governor, Tammy Miller, and running mate Josh Teigen, for the Republican nomination.
Armstrong and Strinden will face the Democratic nominees, gubernatorial candidate Merrill Piepkorn, and his running mate, Patrick Hart, who ran unopposed.
State Auditor
Incumbent Republican State Auditor, Josh Gallion, will face Democratic nominee, Tim Lamb, in the November general election.
Both Gallion and Lamb ran unopposed.
State Treasurer
Incumbent Republican State Auditor, Thomas Beadle, will be the only person on the ballot for State Treasurer in the November general election.
State Insurance Commissioner
Incumbent Republican State Insurance Commissioner, Jon Godfread, will be the only person on the ballot for State Treasurer in the November general election.
Public Service Commissioner
Incumbent Republican Public Service Commissioner, Randy Christmann, will face Democratic nominee Tracey Wilkie in the November general election for Public Service Commissioner.
Both Wilkie and Christmann ran unopposed.
Superintendent of Public Instruction
Incumbent Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kirsten Baesler, will face challenger Jason Heitkamp, a former state legislator, in the November general election for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Baesler and Heitkamp beat out Jim Bartlett, who received the NDGOP letter of support for the race, and Darko Draganic.
