Churches United Interim Executive Director Devlyn Brooks speaks to WDAY Radio Reporter Ty Schonert
MOORHEAD, MN — A local housing and food assistance non-profit is in critical need of donations or they will be forced to close.
Churches United made the announcement on their social media pages late Monday night. The shelter, which provides housing and food assistance to those in need, says they are in critical need for donations in order to keep their doors open for the community.
The organization needs $61,000 at Wednesday by noon to make payroll. They need an additional $140,000 to keep operations running. A total of $201,000.
Churches United Interim Director Devlyn Brooks joined WDAY Midday to speak on the issue. He says the community is jumping to the challenge, and is immensely thankful of people donating what they can. He believes the community will be able to help raise the remaining funds necessary to raise the $61,000.
Brooks says he will update the community tomorrow about their current progress towards keeping Churches United open.
