(FARGO, ND) – No injuries were reported when a vehicle hit a NDDOT snowplow earlier this afternoon.
Highway Patrol troopers say it happened just before 1:00 this afternoon on I-94 eastbound in Fargo.
The 2008 International NDDOT snowplow, operated by 34-year-old Robert Geske, of Moorhead, was eastbound and actively removing snow, when a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 23-year-old Mark Wolters of Little Falls, Minn., attempted to pass the plow. Unable to see due to snow being thrown into the air by the plow, Wolters lost control of his vehicle and collided with the driver’s side of the snowplow.
Nobody was injured. The Jetta sustained disabling damage, while the snowplow sustained minor damage.
Wolters was charged with careless driving.
