20 state attorneys general, including MN’s Ellison, sue over HHS mass firings

UNITED STATES – Twenty Democratic state attorneys general, including Minnesota’s Keith Ellison, are suing the Trump Administration’s efforts to overhaul the Department of Health and Human Services.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is leading the coalition calling the mass firings illegal, dangerous and cruel.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior says his plan will save taxpayers $1.8 billion a year. Kennedy’s plan includes the consolidation of divisions from 28 to 15 and elimination of 20,000 full-time employees.
