(Bismarck, ND) -- Republican lawmakers want to use Legacy Fund money to pay off some people's property taxes. The proposal would cost about 165-million dollars each year and would pay a third of the taxes on each citizen's primary residence. Some lawmakers expressed concerns that the bill only benefits homeowners, not renters.
