Fargo City Commissioners to Hold Special Session Tuesday on Future of Africa Nightclub's Liquor License

(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo City Commission will be holding a Special City Commission Meeting on Tuesday, July 27th at 11:30 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a Hearing to consider the recommendation of the Liquor Control Board to suspend the Liquor License of the International Africa Restaurant and Nightclub.

The Board reported a finding of a violation of Fargo Municipal Code § 25-1512 (B)(6) on June 29th.

This after multiple incidents, involving an eventual shooting and death of a security guard on-site, occurred over the past several months at the business. Fargo Police have also noted a severe increase in calls to the building for several issues.
