Cass County Sheriff's Office to Hold Active Shooter Training at Local High School

(Casselton, ND) -- Some of North Dakota's finest to take part in a potentially life-saving program for Cass County's youth.

Wednesday, August 18th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. the Cass County Sheriff’s Office along with Cass County Rural Fire Departments and EMS partners will be conducting a joint active shooter training scenario in Casselton at Central Cass High School.

“It will always remain a top priority of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office to partner with our rural fire and ems to provide the best level of training and a high level of public safety," said Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner. "The Cass County Sheriff’s Office we will continue to look for ways in the future to increase our response capabilities and keep our schools and children safe.”

There will be a large presence of first responders and emergency vehicles around the school during this time. This training will assist Law Enforcement, Rural Fire, and EMS respond to an active shooter/active threat situation effectively, to protect and save lives.
