Fargo Caregiver Now Charged with Manslaughter

(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo caregiver is now being charged with manslaughter after the person she was looking after died. Back on August 3rd, Fargo Police officers were sent to Maple View Memory Care for a report of an assault of a patient by a care giver.

Late Wednesday, they arrested 59-year-old Rachel Cooper for Endangering a Vulnerable Adult. Cooper had been under investigation since the incident.

The victim, 78-year-old Gary Pearson, was reported dead Thursday.

An autopsy will be completed to determine whether or not the injuries he sustained contributed to his death.
