Grand Forks Authorities Pull Woman from Red River

(Grand Forks, ND) -- A woman is recovering after reportedly jumping into the Red River Sunday evening.

Grand Forks Police say at 7:22 pm they received a report of a suicidal adult female that jumped into the river to the east of the pump station at 3500 Belmont Road.

Officers went down to the river and found the female in the water. Two rescue boats were launched and the female was taken into a boat uninjured.

She was taken to Altru Hospital for evaluation. The Police Department was assisted by the Grand Forks Fire Department, East Grand Forks Fire Department, East Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Paramedics.
