Fargo City Commission Votes in Favor of Mask Mandate for City Employees

(Fargo, ND) -- It passed by a slim vote, but The Fargo City Commission is now mandating all city employees to wear masks in buildings.

In a 3-2 vote Monday night, the commission decided to also strongly recommend those who visit the buildings also mask up.

While commissioners like Tony Gerhig argued the masks are a front, John Strand says the goal is to keep people safe as the Delta Variant of COVID-19 continues to spread.

Only two commissioners, Strand and Arlette Preston, wore masks to the City Commison meeting Monday.
