(FARGO, ND) — A well-known Fargo area activist has died.
23-year-old Anyiwei Maciek passed away on Thursday, according to the group OneFargo’s Facebook page. Maciek was one of the founders of the OneFargo group, and was instrumental in organizing the “Justice for George Floyd” march in late May 2020.
A cause of death has not been determined. Maciek had posted on her Facebook page, on Tuesday, that both she and her infant daughter had contracted the COVID-19 virus.
