MSUM’s Early Education Center Celebrates 50 Years

(Moorhead, MN) -- Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Early Education Center will celebrate 50 years of service to Moorhead and the surrounding community with a free, public birthday party Saturday, September 25th, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Lommen Hall rooms 76-84, 1213 6th Avenue South.

“Celebrating 50 years of quality care is a milestone that has been reached by just a handful of centers in our community,” said Lacey Hoppe, director of MSUM’s Early Education Center. “We are excited to serve countless children over the years and be a valued part of the Moorhead-Fargo community.”

Center tours and Dragon Train rides will run from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a birthday cake celebration. At 11:15 a.m., Imagination Theater will feature Michael Gallo with storytelling, creative dramatics and puppetry that will delight audiences of all ages. Gallo, an early childhood educator who served on the ECC staff for 15 years, has been performing, entertaining and presenting workshops since 1977.
