City of West Fargo to celebrate Arbor Day Friday

(West Fargo, ND) -- The City of West Fargo, a Tree City USA community, will hold an Arbor Day celebration at 1 p.m. Friday, September  24th at West Fargo City Hall to honor Bob Potter. This event is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the West Fargo Urban Forestry Committee, this annual celebration includes a mayoral proclamation, Tree City USA recognition and a tree planting celebration. The Urban Forestry Committee will provide refreshments at the event.

This year’s tree planting ceremony will honor Bob Potter, a long time West Fargo Park District employee. Potter was selected by the Urban Forestry Committee to honor his service to the outdoor recreation in the community. His tree has been planted at the Francis Street community orchard.
