Former North Dakota Legislator Dies From COVID-19

(Fargo, ND) -- A former North Dakota legislator has died from COVID-19.  

Donna Nalewaja died September 30th at the age of 81.  Nalewaya served in the state House from 1983 to 1986 and in the state Senate from 1987 to 1998.  She ran for Lieutenant Governor on the Republican ticket with Leon Mallberg in the 1988 governor's race.  

She also ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in 1998 before leaving politics.
