Internal Investigation Into Former West Fargo Assistant Police Chief Released

(West Fargo, ND) -- The West Fargo Police Department has confirmed to WDAY Radio that the internal investigation into former West Fargo Assistant Police Chief Jerry Boyer accused him of unprofessional behavior, as well as refusing to or failing to perform assigned duties.

The incident in question stems from an email Boyer had sent a few days after the George Floyd Murder trial, referencing treatment of law enforcement since the May 2020 incident involving convicted former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin and Floyd.

Boyer officially resigned from his post this past Friday, and had been on administrative leave since August.
