(Fargo, ND) -- The cities of Fargo and Moorhead are celebrating the indigenous community.
Fargo replaced Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples' Day in 2015 and Moorhead made the switch in 2019. A special ceremony was held Monday on the Veterans Memorial Bridge. The ceremony honored Native Americans who served in the military, and included Mayors Tim Mahoney and Shelly Carlson in attendance.
A Pow Wow was also held at Moorhead High School.
