(Dilworth, MN) -- The city of Dilworth is updating their 5 1/2 year contract according to Police Chief Ty Sharpe.
The new contract allows for new body-cameras to be provided to their officers, an item that the police chief described as a "huge benefit" to their department.
The city paid $6,000 for the first full year of eight cameras back in 2016 and pays and additional $2,500 every year to store footage. Sharpe justifies the costs, saying their department has "seen massive returns" from the usage of the cameras.
