(West Fargo, ND) -- Some more good news when it comes to West Fargo Police Officer Tim Brown's recovery from a massive heart attack suffered back on October 31st.

"He's showing great signs of improvement," said West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness on WDAY Radio's Bonnie and Friends Wednesday. "He's squeezing hands, making eye contact with people, it's all positive."

Chief Otterness does add that while Officer Brown is off, for the most part, a ventilator and is getting a ballon pump removed that was helping his heart, there is still a chance for hiccups in his recovery. This all coming after Brown collapsed Sunday at the Cass County Jail while booking two inmates. He has since been moved to a hospital in Nebraska where care has continued.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Officer Brown's GoFundMe account has raised well over $18,000.
