Large crowd honors veterans at Fargo Air Museum

A big crowd turned out Thursday for the Veterans Day observance at the Fargo Air Museum.  Event organizer Commander Jason Hicks with "United Patriotic Bodies" said he was pleased with the strong turnout.  He also talked about what it means to be a veteran.

"It means the world for me to be able to give back to my fellow veterans and that is what I spend a lot of time and energy doing giving back.  Even though I retired, my service continues and I wouldn't want it any other way," said Hicks. 

Uniformed veterans from all U.S. service branches were on hand as the public came out to show their support.  The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band performed several patriotic songs for the appreciative audience.  The keynote speaker was Valley Veteran Chair for Agent Orange Maynard Kaderlick.  He spoke about how he has personally been affected by exposure to the chemical while serving in Viet Nam.  This was the first year event took place at the Air Museum.
