Fargo to celebrate 150th anniversary during holiday ceremony

(Fargo, ND) -- The City of Fargo is celebrating it's 150th anniversary in conjunction with a holiday tree lighting ceremony.

The ceremony will be conducted in cooperation with local community organization Folkways. It will celebrate Fargo's sesquicentennial (150th year) and the Christkindlmarkt holiday event at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 18 in front of the Fargo Civic Center (207 4th St. N.

Fargo Mayor Dr.Tim Mahoney and Folkways Founder Joe Burgum will share remarks before lighting two holiday trees, sharing the history of North Dakota's largest city.
