North Dakota Highway Patrol completes investigation of life threatening Fargo crash

(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Police Department requested the assistance of the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) in determining the cause of a vehicle vs pedestrian crash that happened on December 13, 2021.

The investigation by the NDHP concluded that the crash happened around 6:45pm, when 18-year-old Nataneil Soloman was driving southbound on 25th St S at the 13th Ave S intersection. Soloman had a green light when he was attempting to drive through the intersection.

At the same time, 45-year-old Robert Powers was attempting to cross 25th St on the crosswalk. That is when he was struck by Soloman's vehicle. After hitting Powers, Soloman stopped his vehicle at the scene.

Soloman is cooperating with the investigation, and Powers was taken to Sanford Hospital with life threatening injuries.
