Fargo City Commission rejects motion to reinstate citywide mask mandate

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo's City Commission is rejecting the idea of reinstating a citywide mask mandate.  

Commissioners shut down a motion at Monday night's meeting to bring back the mask mandate. Director of Fargo Cass Public Health Desi Flemming says there is not enough support in the community for a mandate to be effective.  

Fargo Cass Public officials say there are also potential funding and supply chain issues that would prevent them from following Grand Forks in giving residents free N95 and KN95 masks.
