Fargo welcomes 90 visiting soccer teams for tournament

(Fargo, ND)-- This weekend (January 21-23) the Tri-City United soccer tournament will bring 90 visiting teams to the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area to be part of the “2022 Winter Classic” soccer tournament, held simultaneously at Tri-City United’s indoor soccer facility (located at 2761 12th Avenue South) in Fargo and Rustad Recreation Center (located at 601 26th Avenue East) in West Fargo. Off-street parking is available at both locations.

Those 90 visiting teams will compete with 32 local teams, playing 196 games over the three days at the two locations.

Visiting teams will come from Minot, Grand Forks, Williston, Bismarck, and Aberdeen and will make a significant, positive financial impact on our area’s hospitality industry–with over 1,000 players and families attending.

Both playing locations will have strict COVID guidelines for all players, coaches, and fans to follow. Extra effort has been planned to keep facilities clean and to keep crowds and traffic flow to a minimum.
