District investigating threat against Valley City Public Schools

(Valley City, ND) -- Superintendent Josh Johnson says a threat against Valley City High School is being actively investigated.  

Johnson says the School Resource Officer and Valley City Police Department are interviewing students and gathering information about the threat. Johnson says the student involved in the matter has been identified and "appropriate actions" have been taken to ensure the safety of students and staff in the district.  

Johnson says the student involved is suspended from school indefinitely and faces further disciplinary actions.
