(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Public Schools is considering pausing its COVID-19 data sharing at school board meetings.

Fargo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Rupak Gandi says the section is likely to be dropped because of its obsolescence. He says conversations surrounding COVID have dropped significantly at board meetings since masking has become optional within Fargo Public Schools. He Gandi added the data is available to the public, and does not want to give outdated data at school board meetings.

"This data is readily available now, on demand, " said Gandi at the school board meeting on Tuesday, "It may not be shared by me at every other board meeting because I will be sharing lagging data when board members can access it themselves"
