(Grand Forks, ND) -- There were no injuries after an armored truck was brought in to get a man barricaded inside a car in Grand Forks out Sunday morning.

The Grand Forks Police Department says that around 7 a.m. they were called to the 700 block of 40th avenue south for an initial report of a vehicle stuck in a snow bank. When they arrived, officers found a Dodge Avenger stuck, not running and one person inside. Despite several attempts to make contact with the person inside, and even a request for them to exit the car, the person did not. After rummaging through the vehicle and ignoring police, several loud noises were heard from inside the car, causing officers to take cover.

After the armored truck was brought in, authorities eventually got on a loud speaker and finally made contact with the suspect, who then complied and was taken into custody.

The incident does remain under investigation.
