(West Fargo, ND) -- West Fargo's mayor is looking to get your vote for his possible reelection.

West Fargo Mayor announced his re-election bid for the position Monday morning, saying the decision to run was a simple one.

“I simply love this city,” Dardis said. “My wife and I have lived and raised our sons in West Fargo for 45 years. Having witnessed firsthand the unprecedented growth of our city, I believe my business and civic experience and knowledge and passion for this community will continue to serve our city well for a second four-year term.”

Dardis has lived West Fargo north of I-94 for 29 years and south of it for another 16. Dardis says his experience within the community is core to his understanding of the city's growth, challenges, and needs. The incumbent mayor hopes locals agree Dardis is the person for the job.

"West Fargo is booming. The city must ensure that current and future growth is well-planned and sustainable for current residents and future generations, and always keeping the impact on taxpayers in mind,” Dardis said.
