Body recovered after Clay County house fire

(Hawley, MN) -- The Clay County Sheriff's Office says a body has been recovered after a house fire.

Authorities say the home was engulfed in flames with multiple fire departments arrived Saturday afternoon at the residence in the 26-thousand block of 43rd Avenue North in a rural area of the county to get it under control.

A construction company clearing the debris found the body afterward. It was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for identification.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
